One bookat a time
We are in Hebrews, and we will be for a while.
The text sets the subject each week, which means we preach the passages we would not have chosen.

Confession of faith
What we believe.
Eight articles. Every member affirms them, and every elder teaches within them.
- Scripture
- The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God, and they require no supplement.
- God
- One God, eternally three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Creator of all things, holy, sovereign, and gracious toward those who come to him through his Son.
- Humanity
- Men and women are made in the image of God and are fallen in Adam, unable to repair what sin has broken without divine help.
- Christ
- Jesus of Nazareth is the eternal Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, crucified under Pontius Pilate, raised on the third day, and now seated at the right hand of the Father.
- Salvation
- By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Not earned, but received as a gift and worked out over a lifetime of obedience by the Spirit.
- The Church
- The assembly of those God has called out of the world to belong to his Son. The local church gathers weekly to hear the Word preached and to bear one another's burdens.
- Ordinances
- Two, given by Christ: baptism, and the Lord's Supper, in which the gathered church proclaims his death until he comes.
- Last Things
- Christ will return bodily to judge the living and the dead. The dead will be raised, and God will dwell with his people.
