Ekklesia of God
Bethesda · Maryland · Established 2026
A church gathered around the Word, the Table, and one another.
A note from our pastor
We are an ordinary church doing ordinary things — preaching the Scriptures, breaking bread, baptizing new believers, praying together — and trusting God to do uncommon work through them.
Stephen Holloway · Lead Pastor
Four commitments
The convictions that shape our weekly gathering.
- 01
Expository preaching
We work slowly through entire books of the Bible. The text sets the agenda; the preacher does not.
- 02
Congregational singing
Songs the whole church can carry. We favor what the congregation will still want to sing in twenty years.
- 03
Plural eldership
No solo pastor. The church is led, taught, and shepherded by a plurality of qualified men.
- 04
Weekly communion
The Lord's Supper is observed every Sunday. The proclamation of the gospel does not end with words but with bread and wine.
This Sunday
Join us at 9:30 AM.
Doors open at 9:00 AM with coffee in the foyer. The service runs about an hour and forty-five minutes.

Free parking behind the building.
For children
Children ages 3 – 11 are dismissed for our children's program after the second song. Babies are welcome anywhere.
If it's your first Sunday
A few honest answers to the questions you're actually asking.
What if I'm unsure what I believe?
Come anyway. We've all walked in unsure of one thing or another. Sit at the back, listen, leave when you'd like. Nobody will press you to participate, declare anything, or speak in front of the room.
Where do I park?
Free parking in the lot behind the building, off Glenbrook Road. Overflow parking is available on the street and at the public library across the road.
What about my children?
Children three through eleven are dismissed for our children's program after the second song. Babies and toddlers are welcome to stay in the service — we expect noise.
Will I be asked to give?
No. We do not pass an offering plate to visitors and we do not announce our giving from the front. The church is supported by its members.

Our conviction
The local church is not a platform, a brand, or a product. It is a people called out by God to bear witness to His Son until He returns. What we believe
